Tohoku

The Tohoku region is located in the northeastern part of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. It is characterized by a mountainous area that has a temperate climate. The six prefectures that make up the country are Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Miyagi, Yamagata, and Fukushima.
