Kansai

The Kansai region is a part of Japan that includes the prefectures of Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. If you look at the map of Japan, you will see that the Kansai region is located right in the heart of the country. It is no wonder that the capital of old Japan was located here.

The area has been a major cultural center for centuries and this can be seen in its architecture and cuisine.
This also makes it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan. There are many things to do in this region.

You go visit temples or shrines such as Kyoto’s Fushimi Inari Taisha or Nara’s Tōdai-ji Temple. Some of the most famous castles in Japan can be found here, such as the Himeji Castle and the Osaka Castle. You can even go hiking in the mountains or take a relaxing walk in the Arashiyama bamboo forest.

The Kansai region truly has many things to offer for tourists who are looking for an authentic Japanese experience, and it should be a place you visit on your trip.
