Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is a luxury hotel located in one of Tokyo’s most exciting districts, Shibuya.
Staying here in a great room with amazing views was something I’ll remember for a long time. Now, let me tell you exactly what it was like.
As I said before, the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is located in Shibuya, my favorite part of Tokyo. I’ve been here countless times before, and I always looked in wonder at the Cerulean Tower high above. Finally, I got the chance to stay there.
I made my way to the hotel, climbed up the escalator, and entered the lobby floor. The lobby of the hotel is vast and spacious, and beautifully decorated. There is a nice lounge there with a view of the “Kanzatei” garden.
One of the staff members at the lobby desk directed me to the 35th floor, where the special Executive Lounge was located. You see, my room was a special type of room called the Executive Floor room, and it provided access to the Executive Lounge and enabled me to do my check-in there.
After a quick elevator ride, I was there. The staff members were quick to welcome me and take my luggage for me. They provided me with a seat and some refreshments in the Executive Lounge while they completed the check-in procedure.
That was the first time I saw the spectacular view that I always imagined from the Cerulean Tower. I could see far into the Western horizon. Countless buildings, houses, and highways of Tokyo were scattered in front of me, and in the distance, I could see it; Mount Fuji rising high above all other mountains.
I took a minute to enjoy this breathtaking sight before one of the staff members told me the check-in was completed and took me to my room. Fun fact, my room was located right next to the Executive Lounge, which was very convenient!
The staff member provided me with a quick tour of the room and explained all the benefits I had and told me about all the facilities offered in the hotel.
The room was, as you would expect, quite large and luxurious. There was a small foyer with wardrobes to store all my luggage and clothes. The main part of the room had two large and comfortable beds, as well as a table and a sofa.
Also, I really liked the bathroom, which was quite lovely and really spacious. I mentioned this because, as many of you know, I’m pretty tall, and often bathrooms in Japan can be quite tight for my taste. This was not the case here as I said. The bathroom had both a shower and bathtub, which I really enjoyed soaking.
It was located right next to the huge window which overlooked the city towards the north and provided me with a great view while showering. I would just play some music here and relax in the bathtub while enjoying the nightscape of Tokyo.
And the view from my room was no less spectacular than the one from the lounge. I could see far to the north of the city, including some iconic spots like the Shinjuku skyline with its recognizable NTT Docomo building, the large Yoyogi Park, and of course, right below me, the iconic Shibuya square and all the buildings around it.
Even the newly built Shibuya Scramble Square could be seen with many people on its observation decks looking down.
The entire Shibuya was at my fingertips. I decided to skip sightseeing for the afternoon because I wanted to enjoy this hotel a bit more. I just relaxed in the room and enjoyed the view. Of course, I went to the club lounge a few times as well.
The Executive Lounge is reserved exclusively for guests staying in the “Executive Floor”, and, as I said, was located right there next to my room. It’s open almost the entire day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., during which it serves several different types of foods and drinks depending on the time of the day.
In the morning, of course, you have breakfast, where you can enjoy things like bakery goods, coffee, salads, ham, yogurt, cereals, and more. During the day, you can enjoy tea time with light meals and desserts, and in the evening, cocktail time with some finger food.
When I would visit the lounge, I would find a seat with a view of Mount Fuji and work a bit on my laptop while enjoying the snacks that they offered. The kind staff will always be there to help you, pour your another round of drinks, or prepare your coffee and tea. I loved all the little snacks they had and had an overall great time here.
The highlight for me was watching the sunset with the view of Mount Fuji. To see the sky over Tokyo change color and lights turning on across the city is a sight you will not forget quickly.
The next morning I went to the breakfast buffet at the restaurant called Garden Kitchen [CARAMELO] located on the lobby floor. When I got there, the staff members showed me to my seat and took my order. I could pick which type of omelet and warm drink I would like. I was free to choose the rest from a wide variety of buffet options.
There was a large number of options to pick from during the buffet. These options included yogurt, different cereals, salads, fruits, and vegetables. From meat dishes, you had smoked salmon and many types of sausages and hams. Of course, there was soup as well.
Additionally, there were several different types of pastries like croissants and danishes, as well as waffles and french toast with delicious toppings.
I enjoyed all of that, and it was quite delicious. I finished up with some freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. With this, I was ready to start my day of sightseeing and headed out of the restaurant.
Of course, Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel has many more restaurants, lounges, and bars, so I am sure you will find the perfect one for you!
The hotel has an excellent fitness center available for your use. It includes a large gym with many machines, an outdoor wooden deck to relax and do yoga, a sauna, and even a 20-meter-long indoor swimming pool!
So after a good workout in the gym equipped with a variety of training equipment or in the indoor heated swimming pool flooded with natural light, you can relax and soothe your tired body in the Jet Bath and sauna.
Sounds perfect to me! I love when a hotel has these options since it entices me to do some exercise. Otherwise, I am too lazy to find a public workout space and just skip my workout, which is not good!
All in all, this is an excellent hotel, and I had so much fun staying here. If you are looking for a great luxury hotel in this part of Tokyo, the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is the place for you!
