In a world where the hustle and bustle of city life often overshadow the serene whispers of nature, finding a sanctuary that bridges the gap between luxury and the great outdoors is a rare gem. My recent journey across Japan led me to such a place – Glamping Village Fuji Kawaguchiko. Nestled near the majestic Mount Fuji and the tranquil Lake Kawaguchiko in Yamanashi Prefecture, this glamping site offered an unparalleled blend of comfort, luxury, and natural beauty.
I still clearly remember my arrival at Glamping Village Fuji Kawaguchiko. It has been an hour and a half since we left Tokyo, and it was a pleasant ride. But the last half an hour I spent glued to the window enjoying the awe-inspiring sight of Mount Fuji from up close.
The village comprises 30 rooms, making it one of the largest glamping resorts in Yamanashi Prefecture. And I could really feel it as I was walking around and exploring the grounds. Guests have the choice between villas and dome tents, each offering a unique way to experience the outdoors without compromising on comfort. Domes are also for family with small kids. And villas are also for couples that want luxurious setting.
The luxurious villas are spacious and ideal for groups or large families. I had the pleasure of staying in one with my travel group. These two-bedroom floor plans come equipped with hot spring baths and personal saunas which I loved!
The site is pet-friendly, offering dog-friendly villas and dome tents, and providing ample space for pets to explore and enjoy. I did not bring my pet cat Kiara, but if you want to bring your own pet, you have that option which I think is great.
Staying in the villa, I was impressed by the meticulous attention to detail in the decoration and the luxurious yet homely atmosphere it created.
The inclusion of modern amenities like a smart TV ensured a comfortable stay, while the four large, comfortable beds, all in the same room, provided that feel of camping.
In my honest opinion, what truly sets this glamping site apart from others is its breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Whether staying in a villa or a dome tent, you are constantly treated to the majestic sight of Japan’s iconic mountain. The experience of waking up to such a view, coupled with the opportunity to take unlimited photos, is nothing short of magical and I will never forget it.
Beyond the comfort of the accommodations, Glamping Village Fuji Kawaguchiko provides amazing food and drinks for you!
The first night’s locally produced glamping barbecue was a delightful introduction to the local cuisine of the Yamanashi area. Cooking our own barbecue, complemented by delicious Yamanashi wines from the onsite nature bar, was a culinary adventure. The kitchen in our villa comes fully equipped, and among others, it had a really good barbecue.
Glamping Village Fuji Kawaguchiko was a perfect nature getaway for me. The blend of luxury and nature, the breathtaking views of Mount Fuji, and the array of activities available make it a must-visit destination for those looking to escape the city and immerse themselves in the beauty of Japan’s natural landscape.
Whether you’re an avid camper seeking a touch of luxury or a luxury traveler looking to connect with nature, Glamping Village Fuji Kawaguchiko offers an experience that caters to all.
