On my latest trip, I once again chose to stay at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel, my favorite luxury hotel in Shibuya. This hotel is a place where you can experience comfort, convenience, and breathtaking views that make every stay unforgettable. And I was really looking forward to it.
Location is everything, and this hotel nails it. Just a short walk from Shibuya Station, the Cerulean Tower makes it incredibly easy to explore some of Tokyo’s most exciting neighborhoods. I used it as a base to explore not just Shibuya, but also the nearby relaxing Yoyogi Park and the fashionable streets of Harajuku. The proximity to these areas meant I could spend less time commuting and more time immersing myself in the local culture.
When the sun sets, Shibuya transforms into a hub of nightlife, and being so close to the action was a huge plus. After enjoying the energetic clubs and bars, it was good to know that my comfortable bed was just a short walk away. No need to worry about catching the last train—I could take my time and soak in the nighttime atmosphere. And for those of you who enjoyed Tokyo’s nightlife, you know how much that means.
Staying on the executive floor came with the delightful perk of accessing the Executive Lounge. This became one of my favorite spots in the hotel. Throughout the day, the lounge offered different services—starting with a delicious breakfast in the morning, followed by tea hours in the afternoon, and cocktails in the evening. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing or to catch up on some work.
I often brought my laptop to the lounge, enjoying the serene environment and the stunning views while sipping on complimentary drinks. Whether I was indulging in a cup of coffee or treating myself to a cocktail, the lounge provided a comfortable and luxurious space to unwind.
I began with a visit to the hotel’s restaurant called Garden Kitchen CARAMELO on the lobby floor for their buffet breakfast. The spread was extensive, featuring both Western and Japanese dishes. From freshly made omelets with a variety of toppings to smoked salmon, croissants, ham, cheese, and yogurt—the choices were many. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a refreshing touch, and the relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect way to start the day. I am pretty sure you can guess that I enjoyed that breakfast a lot and keep coming back to the buffet for seconds!
After breakfast, I headed to the hotel’s fully equipped fitness center. It had everything I needed for my regular workout routine including weightlifting equipment. Following my exercise, I indulged in some time at the sauna, which was incredibly rejuvenating. It was the ideal way to relax my muscles and clear my mind. Although there’s also a pool available, I opted to save that experience for another time. I really liked that I had all of these options and if you are a fitness junkie you will surely appreciate them.
Post-workout and feeling refreshed, I returned to the Executive Lounge. I spent the afternoon working on my laptop, enjoying the uninterrupted views of the city and Mount Fuji in the distance. The complimentary snacks and drinks were a delightful bonus, making it easy to lose track of time in such a comfortable setting.
Whenever I needed something extra, the convenience store located within the hotel was a lifesaver. Open 24/7, it had everything from snacks to essentials I might have forgotten to pack.
As evening rolled around, I prepared for another night out in Shibuya. The hotel’s prime location meant I could fully enjoy the city’s vibrant nightlife without worrying about transportation. After a night of fun, it was comforting to know that I could easily walk back to my room and settle in for the night.
While I often chose to dine out to explore Tokyo’s culinary scene, the Cerulean Tower offers a variety of dining options within the hotel. From elegant restaurants to cozy bars, there’s something to suit every taste. On days when I preferred a quieter evening, having these choices just an elevator ride away was incredibly convenient.
My stay at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel was, as always, a delightful blend of luxury and convenience. The combination of its prime location, exceptional service, and top-notch amenities makes it stand out as the best luxury hotel in Shibuya for me.
Whether you’re visiting Tokyo for the first time or returning for another adventure, I highly recommend this hotel. It provides not just a place to sleep, but a comfortable and luxurious retreat where you can relax, work, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the city. If you’re looking for a memorable stay in one of Tokyo’s most exciting neighborhoods, the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is the perfect choice.
